44th Staff Council Members
The Staff Council is elected every two (2) years and composed of thirty-seven representatives and an equal number of alternates representing staff members of their units. The representatives act under the direction of the Council and shall:
  • Act as first and main point of contact for staff members with the Union;
  • Act as spokesperson for members represented;
  • Support and advise members on workplace issues;
  • Be accountable to members represented;
  • Convene Unit meetings at a minimum four times a year and call for election of Chairpersons;
  • Assist the work of the Union by addressing staff/management issues;
  • Disseminate information on union activities and solicit issues of concern from constituents;
  • Refer matters to the Council, as appropriate.


    • Duties of the representative shall be assumed by the alternate during absences.
