National Staff

Locally recruited staff members of secretariat field missions (national staff) are associate members of the United Nations Staff Union, and may, through their independent staff association, elect to be affiliated to the United Nations Staff Union.
Their interests/concerns are represented by the United Nations Staff Union before the Secretary-General, Committees, Commissions and other bodies of the General Assembly and joint staff-management bodies.
